Resurrection Worship Center began in Sioux Falls, SD in 1994 when Minister Russell T. Johnson answered God’s call to “build My statutes” (2 Samuel 7:13). What started with just a handful of people meeting in basements soon grew into a thriving church community, moving through several locations before purchasing its first property on Minnesota Avenue in 2000. Over the years, God expanded the ministry’s reach—adding a Spanish ministry, acquiring additional properties, and eventually leading the church to its current home on Gordon Drive in 2018, where it became Resurrection Worship Center. In 2023, Pastor Johnson was ordained as Bishop and international doors opened, extending ministry to Africa and the Philippines. Today, Resurrection Worship Center continues to flourish with faithful leaders, expanding ministries, and a growing family of believers.
